Yorrie Richards and his wife Eirian will be joining with us, and sharing the Word of God once a month in Study form.

Yorrie and Eirian attend Hill Top Assemblies of God Church in Nottingham. They have three grown up children, and six grandchildren. They have a great love for God, and desire to see all Gods children growing in the Faith (and they both will be the first to admit that they are still growing and understanding more of God for themselves).

,Yorrie has spoken at Zion Christian Centre on numerous occasions over the past 20 years. He is one of the most passionate preachers that I have ever had the privilege of listening to so this will be a new experience for us to have him share Studies with us.

Yorrie Richards was born and lived in the Welsh mining town of Maesteg where he was also dramatically converted to Christ in October of 1959. His conversion was the result of concentrated prayer made by a small church in the town. They gathered every Thursday and faithfully brought Yorrie's name before the Lord. It was on one of those prayer meeting evenings that Yorrie, as he was drinking in one of the pubs of Maesteg called 'The Maltster's Hotel' that the Holy Spirit dealt with him. He could get no peace until he made his way to the church where the people were praying for him.

He found Christ that night and his life was totally transformed. He was, though, inflicted with a serious stutter, but in spite of that defect his Minister was convinced Yorrie had a preaching ministry ahead of him and spoke to him concerning it.

Eventually, Yorrie entered the Bible College and came under the ministry of such spiritual giants as Pastor W.L. Rowlands and Pastor Ian McPherson.

He developed a strong love for the Scriptures and is never happier than when sharing his studies with the people of God.

All trace of the stammer has now gone for which he is more than grateful to God.
